This canal lock acquired it’s name from the whiskey produced at a nearby distillery during the Civil War. It was also known as the Kettlewell Lock.

Looking for any information about the old Murphy Farm 1900’s Located just below Kettlewell. Lock 35 ??? Between Ohio Canal and Cuyahoga River
